What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Form Data Retention

When visitors leave comments on the site by filling out our forms, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you upload images via our forms, we use them only for the purposes indicated which may include newsletters or sponsorship of our events.

Collection of Your Personal Information

LPRW website may be used without entering your personally identifiable information. However, the LPRW may seek to collect from you personally identifiable information at various points throughout the site, as detailed below.

Users who make a financial transaction (e.g., renewing membership dues, registering for an event, making a donation, or purchasing a product) are required to submit their name, address, occupation and employer (mandated by the IRS), as well as their credit card information and billing address. LPRW does not collect or retain any financial information. We use the Square service for all credit card transactions via our website.

Users who are registering for an event may be asked to supply certain information, such as dietary restrictions. Form users can choose to submit optional personal information, including demographics and biographical data.

Who we share your data with

We do not share our membership list or member data with any non-affiliated organizations. We are required, due to our affiliation with the Texas Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women, to share member data with them. That sharing is subject to the TFRW and NFRW privacy policies.

No personal information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you fill out an LPRW form, the form data are retained indefinitely. This is so we can contact you and follow-up on any correspondence.

What rights you have over your data

You can request to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
